we strive to provide the highest quality food thru KTF, but every now and then, problems do arise.

KTF has a dual function: it is both a bulk food buying club (that lets us buy together in bulk in order to enjoy wholesale pricing) and a farm-direct networking project (that connects farmers directly to their customers).

because of this dual function, there are also 2 ways to handle problems:

1. i'd like to encourage direct communication with our farmers whenever there are any issues with farm-direct products we get. i am of course happy to email and ask questions, and maintain good communication with our farmers, but especially refund/credit/replacement requests need to be handled between the customer and the producer directly.

2. for bulk food buys/wholesale accounts (with distributors like hummingbird or glorybee or OGC who have large bulk package sizes and high minimums) that i manage, i will be the point of contact if there are any problems. usually i need to be made aware of any issues within 24 hrs of receipt of the items.



if you are unclear on which type of vendor you are purchasing from, just ask. i will also think on a way to distinguish the accounts in the KTF catalog. i hope this makes sense. send any questions my way!

If we get a refund directly from the farmer, will they credit our 10% coop fee as well?

Also - sometimes it's hard to find information regarding the vendors. I had some questions about the berries from A and B farms, but their "original producer questionnaire" is completely blank and there is no phone number or e-mail listed for them in the KTF system. When I google them, I get The Warehouse. :lol: Can including their contact information be a 'mandatory' part of registering as a vendor?

I would second what Chris says. Also, if some farmers prefer to be called vs. e-mailed - can there be information on the preferred contact method?

yes, the 10% will be refunded because when you get a refund you will have a credit and 10% won't be charged on top of that credit when you spend it. does that make sense?

as for the farm contact info, feel free to ask me if it's not public.
