Through songs, music, toys, simple instruments and loving playtime between you and your child, Kindermusik Sign & Sing shows you many signs your child can use to communicate with you.
Using research-proven methods shown to speed language development in hearing children, you'll see how sign language can ease frustration and enhance long-term learning abilities for your child. Hearing children who know signs, learn language almost twice as fast.
What You Will Learn In Class
· Attention getting strategies.
· Adaptation strategies.
· Recognizing and responding to your child's signs.
· Facilitating early communication and long- term learning.
· Responding to misused signs.
· Beginning reading strategies.

A Kindermusik PLAYDATE, offered by Tiny Talkers, is a single Kindermusik class with all the music and movement families love in a typical Kindermusik semester. Playdates give the busy mom (dad, grandparent or nanny) the Kindermusik experience when they simply can't schedule the next 5-10 weeks! It's also a great way to try out a Kindermusik class with a low cost and no obligation.
This one-time 45-60 minute class experience includes singing, listening, playing with rhythm instruments, creative movement and includes wonderful take-home materials.
COST: Each Kindermusik PLAYDATE is $15 per child or $20 per family (with only one take home materials pack per family- arrangements can be made if you would like an extra instrument). This includes 45-60 minutes of play along with music. Each family will receive a 10-song download card to Kindermusik’s digital music website AND a fun musical prop (ie: egg shaker, bells etc.) OR a book depending on the theme of the playdate! Babies under 6 months are FREE when accompanying a sibling.

Note: Younger children may need assistance, but parents of older children may feel free to stay or take a break and hang out in Warehouse cafe, use the free wi-fi, or browse at Daisies and Dinos Children's Resale Store. However, due to insurance reasons, we ask that parents remain in the building while their children attend class.

Mama Care Group focuses on mothering beyond the first year and meets at Milagros Boutique in NE Portland.
Group is also appropriate for pregnant women struggling with depression or anxiety as well.
